About Us
Art Sobczak, father of the current owner, Tony, opened Mousehouse Cheesehaus in 1988. Tony took over ownership in 2001, and the Sobczak family has worked tirelessly for more than 30 years, with now three generations involved in the business, to meet the needs of everyone who walks through our doors or shops with us online looking for a little taste of something special from Wisconsin. Cheese-lovers everywhere are welcome and encouraged to sample all varieties of cheese, such as Cheddar aged up to 23 years, flavored Cheddars/Jacks, an array of spicy pepper cheeses, and our very own, Mousehouse Jack.
Through the years, the store has seen many changes including a store remodel in 2018 and a switch from Igor's Big Belly Deli to Carmen's Pizzaria in 2024. We now have viewing windows for our customers to view the cheese being cut and wrapped and to see our master fudge-makers prepare a delicious new batch as well as an extended seating area for customers to enjoy their delicious pizza in. Our store also offers a wide variety of souvenirs that are unique to us and our wonderful state, as well as gifts for all occasions.
Today, we continue to source all of our cheeses from local creameries throughout the state of Wisconsin. When you walk in our doors, you'll be greeted by our educated team members who are happy to provide you with a sample of any of our delicious cheese or fudge. We strive to provide everyone with the best shopping experience that we can - from our sales floor, to our pizzaria, to our shipped department and more; our goal is to provide each shopper with all of their Dairyland neccesities!
